Laziness

I dislike laziness and being unproductive. I must be doing something worthwhile, almost always. Or else.

Cleaning

Today is a like and a dislike.

I like and dislike to clean house. It's a great feeling after you do it and it can be quite therapeutic (sometimes). But it can also a terrible annoyance. I don't know about you, but I would rather watch a good film than clean the toilet.

Hungry w/out adequate supplies

I dislike being hungry but having nothing in the kitchen to eat. It usually happens near the end of the week for me.

I make a grocery menu/list for the upcoming week on Saturdays, and then we buy our groceries on either that day or Sundays. So by the time Saturday comes around, I'm looking around the fridge and pantry, looking something to snack on, but - alas - there is nothing to be found. These are sad times when they occur.

Complications

(Source. I'm really digging Dorellana's photos this week.)

I dislike complications. But who does?

Not saying "thank you"

I dislike when people don't say "thank you." I encountered this multiple times today. I don't know if it's this weather that are putting people in a rude mood or what.

But I did hold the door open for this guy today and looked right at him and smiled as he walked in, and he didn't say single word. Hurrumph. See I hold the door for him again.

Wasting

I dislike wasting things. And I don't like seeing people waste either. I was raised in one of those families where you ate everything on your plate, you took full advantage of everything you had and you just didn't throw away anything (unless you absolutely had to).

So when I see my boyfriend not finish his food or see him throw away something that could have gotten a couple more uses out of it, I inwardly pitch a fit. It's something I'm working on. ;)

Being sick

I dislike being sick. I've been sick two times in the last month. From a terrible cough, to an upset stomach, to endless amount of bodily fluids escaping me, the last 30 days have been...gross...to say the least.

There is much less...

...that I dislike than what I like. So I'm going to say that I dislike the trait of a person who dislikes many things. A person who complains about many things, especially when they have so much to like and to be thankful for. I just may have to eliminate this category, or lesson the frequency of it, because I'm a person who likes many, many, many things and who is interested in practically everything.

Being afraid

Dislike numero uno: being afraid to pursue my interests and ambitions. I've done it more often then I'd like to admit. Like, not applying to the art college of my dreams because I was too afraid the complications (like money, not being talented enough, etc.). It usually boils down to being afraid of rejection and the complications that I could possibly not be able to handle.

So there you go. Laying out all my fears on the table.
